This is my ninth year teaching elementary school, and this is my seventh year at Rocky Ridge Elementary.  I am pumped to reach all of our students in their exploration into STEAM fields as I start educating K-5! STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.

I am currently serving on the following committees at RRES: Problem Solving Team (PST), Recycling, and Yearbook.  This year I have been asked to serve my fellow teachers as a Technology Facilitator.  I am also the founder and co-advisor for the National Elementary Honor Society Rocky Ridge Chapter. I have established a Boys Who Read club with Mr. Daniel Schaeffel (4th grade teacher), and started a Girls Who Code club. I am also involved in the Girl Power running club on Fridays after school. My GEMS (Girls Engaged in Math and Science) group will be going to the Hoover GEMS Expo this January!

I was awarded the Rocky Ridge 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year and our coveted Patricia Watson Award! It was a huge honor to be nominated and elected by my peers for such a prestigious award.
